What is FCUpdateService.exe? & How to Remove it?

After installing Foxit Reader on your computer, you can notice FCUpdateService.exe running under the Processes tab in Task Manager with description ‘Foxit Cloud Safe Update Service’ even when the application is not in use.

This service runs from the location ‘C:\Program Files\Foxit Software\Foxit Reader\Foxit Cloud’, yes! Indeed, it has been installed by Foxit Cloud. To remove or stop this process from running, you need to uninstall Foxit Cloud from your computer.

Removing FCUpdateService.exe

Control Panel>Programs and Features>Programs>Programs and Features, select ‘Foxit Cloud’ and click ‘Uninstall’ button.

How to Remove Foxit Reader’s Foxit Cloud Option and CloudReading Plugin?

Note: Uninstalling Foxit Cloud doesn’t affect the way Foxit Reader functions, you can safely remove it unless you use the service.
