Firefox 73: Global Page Zoom Setting, Always Visible Tab Listing button

Recently we’ve reported Mozilla added Site Specific Browser support to Firefox 73, today, the latest Firefox Nightly version has also got UI for global Zoom setting in Preferences and allows to make “List All Tabs” button permantantly visible.

Google Chrome provides Page Zoom option in its Appearance settings to let users set a desired Zoom level for all websites according to their convinience, Mozilla Firefox lacks this. Till now Firefox displayed zoom indicator in address bar if site’s zoom is not default. Now, similar to Chrome in Firefox, you can able to change page zoom level to less or greater than default 100% by visiting hamburger menu > Options > General > Zoom. You can also able to “zoom text only ” by checking the option in the Preferences.

The “List All Tabs” button or the down arrow that appears when tabs opened doesn’t fit in the tab strip, now can be set to show permanantly irrespective of there is overflow of tabs or not.

For this,

1. Visit about:config

2. Search for “manager”, and change the following tab manager preference value to true

browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled

browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled pref

So now, the all tabs menu apart from letting you search for open tabs, also appears even if you’ve a single tab open in the browser.
