Foxit Reader 10.0: You can no longer Create PDFs

Foxit Reader 10.0 has removed the ability to create PDFs in both web browsers and within the application by removing PDF Printer driver and Create menu item in the File menu, Foxit Reader 9.7.2.29539 is the last version to have these.

Foxit Software has released version 10 for its PDF application, Foxit Reader where the company has taken away the most useful ability to create PDFs from virtually anything for no apparent reason.

New Foxit Reader version has added Fill & Sign tool to quickly sign signature on fact forms and made enhancements to advanced search and bookmarks panel.

After installing the Foxit Reader’s latest version, if you launch and check in the File menu, you’ll notice Create option that allows making PDF from a blank page, scanner, clipboard, and from any file, is no longer available, Foxit Software has removed it.

The company mentions in its first run Page of PDF application to use Foxit online tools instead to convert files to PDF or Word.

Foxit Reader allows creating PDFs from any kind of printable file.

Open the previous version of the application, click on File> Create and choose the option to create PDF from the following

• Blank file
• File (Other file formats)
• Scanner
• Clipboard.

The whole Create submenu is not available in Foxit Reader 10 and also the “Foxit Reader PDF Printer” virtual Printer in the web browsers.

Foxit Reader PDF Printer allows printing any page to PDF when you select it in the available printers after selecting the Print option.

Foxit Reader is the most useful PDF Reader application out there with a handful of features and Night mode support, the application supports OneDrive, Google Drive and Microsoft OneNote, sad to see it losing the PDFcreation tools.

Since Foxit Software fixes vulnerabilities in its Foxit Reader on a regular basis whenever it f found, we’re not recommending to use the old version, but if you’ve compelling reasons to use Foxit Reader 9.7 you can download it from any one of these: Foxit website and mirror site.
