
As Microsoft shown interest in moving from EdgeHTML to Chromium for Edge browser and the company is testing Chromium based Microsoft Edge builds internally and recently, its icon and installer screenshots leaked, now more screenshots surfaced, this time from Microsoft Edge dev build.

According to screenshots posted by Neowin, Microsoft Edge is available for testing in developer and canary builds. Edge dev, similar to Chrome dev, updates on a weekly basis where Edge Can, similar to Chrome Canary, updates on a daily basis.
From the screenshots, it looks as if Microsoft taken care to not to change UI drastically and at the same time if you’re a Chrome user, you’ll be familiar with changes to UI, its blend of Chrome and Edge interfaces. Edge provides provision for extension icons and Profile picture on toolbar and menu looks identical to Edge available to us.
Edge New tab Page or Start Page: New tab page or start page shows Bing image of the days and offers top sites, new sites feed underneath the picture. You can set Edge start page layout to your liking by choosing from Focused, Inspiration and Informational and Custom.
Though the Microsoft confirmed their upcoming browser will support Chrome extensions, from the screenshot, the company is maintaining separate addon store as Opera does. FYI Opera allows to install extensions from Chrome Web store but it has its own add-on store as well.
The Setting UI is completely new with Profiles, Appearance, on startup, Privacy, and Services, Site Permissions, Downloads, Languages, Printing, System, Reset Settings. The first screenshot posted above informs Microsoft Edge made possible by Chromium is on version 74.1.85.0 and is from developer branch, while current Chrome dev is on version 74.0.3717.0.

I will be honest and say when it comes out of beta I will definitely try it for a test of my own.
I have been using FireFox for over a year now and it will too have a lot of features that will make me switch to Microsoft Chrome.
Microsoft has a ton of dev’s that are amazing and I hope they let them do some really cool things with this.
