Much waited Microsoft Edge browser based on Chromium has been leaked and is available for download. The browser comes with Bing as the default search engine, there is no surprise in this, here is how you can add Google and make it as default search in Edge browser powered by Chromium.
Like Microsoft Edge, adding another search to Anaheim isn’t as straight forward as visiting search Settings in Chrome and choosing another search engine, why Microsoft makes this process difficult.
In Edge browser, you need to visit the website and open settings and visit Address bar search option, then you can add a search engine, here the process is almost the same but the steps may vary, check out them below.
Add and make Google as default Search engine in Edge browser powered by Chromium
1. Open a new tab,
2. Visit google.com in the address bar
3. Type something, now click on Menu > Settings > Privacy and services,
4. Click Address bar,
5. Click Manage Search engines, now you can notice Google added as another search engine, now click on horizontal ellipsis icon and choose ‘Make default’ done.
Do note Anaheim isn’t officially available for download and will be released soon for the public for testing, we’ll let you know when that happens. There will be a great risk associated with downloading and running exe files from unknown sources.
