
Mozilla on November 14, 2018, launched Firefox Monitor in 26 languages and introduced the breach alert service notifications to desktop Firefox users.
For the uninitiated, recently, Mozilla has launched Firefox Monitor online service. The service uses Have I been Pwned site to let people know the email they enter is breached or not. If you are new to this, visit Firefox Monitor site and enter your email address to see if it has been compromised in a recent data breach and you can even signup for the service that will send an email alert if your accounts appear in new website breaches.

Mozilla has said Firefox browser will now show a notification to desktop users when they visit a site that has been breached recently. Company confirms the feature will roll out gradually to all Firefox users over the coming weeks. Firefox maker confirms ” This alert will appear at most once per site and only for data breaches reported in the previous twelve months.”
If you don’t want to see the Notifications from Firefox Monitor on any site, an option- ‘never show Firefox Monitor alerts’ – will be provided under drop-down arrow within the Notification, which you need to choose to disable breach alerts.
