Finally, Chrome receives Fix for Blurry Fonts Issue

Google has finally released an update -version number 69.0.3497.92 – for Chrome 69.0.3497.81 that includes a fix for blurry fonts on Windows, Mac, and Linux platforms.

Many running Chrome on High DPI screens affected with this issue, though it didn’t take Chromium team much time to find the cause for the issue, releasing the build that contains fix has taken some days, it’s understandable as the team has to merge the fix to Chrome 69 branch and then they’ve to spin and push the new build to channels. If you’re having the issue, to install the update,  click on Chrome menu > Help> About Google Chrome.

Chrome version 69.0.3497.92

Chromium team confirms the fix has been verified and working on Windows 10 Chrome 69.0.3497.92, but they couldn’t able to confirm the issue fixed or not on Linux as they don’t have a Linux machine running with high DPI.

“Verified the fix on Win-10 using Chrome version#69.0.3497.92 and fix is working as expected. Hence Adding TE-verified labels. Note: Unable to verify the issue on OS-Linux due to non-availability of Linux high dpi machine at TE-end.”
