How to disable IObit Uninstaller Service?

Last updated on March 30, 2018 By Venkat

IObit Uninstaller is equally efficient and comparative to Revo Uninstaller Free, but it annoys users by running more services on startup and background, even though the app doesn’t need them. We’ve covered about the same product’s processes Liveupdate.exe and UninstallMonitor.exe in the past, another service, IObit Uninstaller service joins that list.

IObit Uninstaller Service preconfigured to run on startup of computer. You can notice it running under processes tab in Task Manager with the parent process name as ‘Uninstall Programs (32bit)’. You may want to disable this unnecessary service. Here is how that can be done.

IObit Uninstaller Service

Disabling IObit Uninstaller Service

  1. Open Run dialog by pressing Win+R and type services.msc
  2. Once Services window opens, find IObit Uninstaller Service, double click to open its properties dialog
  3. Here the Properties displays Service name as IObitUnSvr and display & description as Iobit Uninstaller Service
  4. Click Stop and set its startup type to Disabled.

I think that IObit Uninstaller without running service isn’t effective because don’t monitor installation process. Instead of disable service you can uninstall whole IObit Uninstaller app.

I don’t think IObit Uninstaller service need to run on startup. Revo uninstaller doesn’t run extra service on startup. Never seen this service in the past, seems latest update has added it.

This does nothing. The uninstaller and uninstaller monitor still run automatically.
