While Avast team is working to integrate recently acquired AVG product, the company has released a new beta version of Avast and is available for testing. Avast 12.4.2281 brings a completely new interface, including the framework behind it, which allows the company to fix bugs and issues related to UI much faster than before.
Avast new UI
Here are the some changes you’ll notice: Avast main window is now bigger than shown by the current version. This beta has removed screensaver and desktop gadget. And the security company has made huge internal changes for the product stabilization.

The antivirus has four modules in the main window: Home, Protection, Privacy and Performance.
Protection contains Antivirus, Wi-Fi Inspector, Software Defender (seems Software Updater has been renamed to this) and Rescue disk.
Privacy contains Secure VPN and Passwords.
Performance includes Cleanup (formerly known as Grimefighter, now renamed to Avast Cleanup) and Game mode.
And SafeZone browser which has been included in Avast free AV is available to access from desktop after the beta installation.
Note: This is an early version of user interface that is not finished yet, avast is asking for users to submit feedback on it by testing the new beta version, interested users can download it from Avast forums.
