The service properties dialog in the Services console provides the following description of Techsmith Uploader Service:
“TechSmith Uploader Service acts as a proxy between recorder and controller/API”
This Uploader service from TechSmith will only be necessary when you use TechSmith Relay, if not, then you don’t need that.
Though you can visit the Microsoft Windows Services console and, stop & disable the service, why turn off the Uploader Service when you can uninstall it. Here is how you can get disable it.

Does this action need a system reboot?
Because after this removal I cannot start normally the Snagit application: I always receive a SnagPrv.exe exception. It is here some relations?
Thanks for your help & cheers, Akos
I don’t think system restart is necessary, if Snagit functions after restart in your case, then do that.
