If you’ve not installed an app from the Store on Windows 10 for a while, start menu can start to irritate to you try an app, they’re the app suggestions or ads that appear above File Explorer. If you don’t want to see that ad again, right click on it and select ‘Don’t show this suggestion’ (so that another one will be shown next time), if you don’t want the suggestions to appear at all, you need to choose ‘Turn off all suggestions’.
There is another way to permanently disable app suggestions from being shown on the start menu.

What you need to do is click on Start > Settings > Personalization> Start, set ‘Occasionally show suggestions in start’ switch to off.
