Opera 31 developer Enables Encrypted Media Extensions

Opera 31 based on Chromium 44 is now available on developer stream for Windows, Mac and Linux. Opera desktop team has enabled Encrypted Media Extensions like Widevine DRM, and the other new features are available to enable behind the flags (which you’ve to find out). 

There are some known issues in this build

  • Some internal pages can’t be accessed, e.g. Print, Discover, Private window landing page is displayed incorrectly, Private window theme is missing
  • HTML5 videos are crashing renderer when using MSE
