Vivaldi browser is still in technical preview, its company started to add features to it, are you missing extensions? Don’t worry! You can install apps, extensions and themes from Chrome Web Store in Vivaldi browser and they work like in Google browser.
First Snapshot for Vivaldi Browser is available
How to install extensions in Vivaldi?
Visit Chrome Web Store page in Vivaldi, search for an extension you’re using in the Chrome browser and install them.
You can find the installed apps in Vivaldi://apps page and extensions in Vivaldi://extensions page, and you can uninstall them by visiting those pages.
At present, there is no way to revert the installed theme to default one, so you should know about that before installing a theme in this browser. This is the page, that lists the all internal URLs of Vivaldi.
The extensions work only without buttons. But inner functions and context menu running works.
Sorry can’t understand what you’re saying.
What you need to do is go here
Vivaldi://apps
click the “webstore” and it WILL take you to chrome app store, search for your app / extension you want. and click the “add to chrome button” it will INSTEAD add to your Vavaldi extensions which you can find here
vivaldi://chrome/extensions
Al this is not needed, you can directly go to Chrome Web Store site in Vivadi browser and install extensions. If you’re finding it difficult to remember or type long URL, type about:extensions in address bar which loads vivaldi://chrome/extensions page.
what Vincze is trying to say is that there are not short cuts buttons in the menubar. you only can acces to them via context menu.
As Vinceze and Roger said, I installed an app from the chrome web store, it said it is installed, but I do not see any button for that. (I added ‘My Pocket’).
FYI, visit chrome://apps in vivaldi browser to see list of apps installed from web Store, hope that helps.
How does one easily delete or uninstall an app extension from the chrome store from the Vivaldi browser? It’s easy on the non-vivaldi Chrome browser, but not at all obvious on Vivaldi. Thanks.
To my chagrin, I found the answer in the little white and red V box in the upper left hand corner of the browser. You may delete my original comment. Thanks.
That’s v menu. This should be the way V > Tools > Extensions or visiting vivaldi://extensions page will also lets you manage extensions installed in Vivaldi browser.
Any way to apply Chrome themes as default Vivaldi theme yet?
Not yet, but you can change Vivaldi new tab page with Chrome extensions, search for new tab extensions in Chrome Web Store.
