
Two days back Microsoft has released KB3035129 Update for Windows 10 build 9926, this update installed users have noticed Windows Update trying to download updates for FBL_AWESOME 9933 professional, and fails in doing so and throws error 0x80246017 saying there were some problems in installing the updates.

Microsoft spokesperson Gabriel clears the confusion and says the last update (KB3035129) came with a code change that has caused this to happen, and at present, no new builds are available for build 9926. Windows Update, which at present trying to download are internal builds that are exclusive to Microsoft employees for testing.
“KB3035129 included a code change which unintentionally had the side effect of changing targeting for builds, allowing builds that are exclusive to Microsoft employees to appear available. No new builds are available which are newer than 9926 at this point.” Aul said in the community forum.

Microsoft to release another update to fix that, which allows preview users to receive the next build. ” We will issue another update shortly to correct the issue and ensure that Windows Insiders are able to successfully get the next build which is made available to you. We apologize for the confusion and thank you for your continued participation and feedback ” he added.

UPDATE: Microsoft is delaying to release the fix, let us see how we can manually fix it.
If you’re using 9926 build, open the registry editor using regedit in the Run command
1. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\Applicability
2. Ensure Registry editor shows fbl_awesome1501 for the ‘BranchName’, if it doesn’t show assign the same value to it.
3. Delete ThresholdInternal and ThresholdOptedIn keys. and set ‘ThresholdRiskLevel’ value to low.
4. Exit registry editor and restart your computer, now check for updates, it will show message ‘your device is up to date.’
Sidenote: Under advanced options, you may want to set fast in place of Slow to receive new builds quickly.
