Since last ten days, Firefox users using Nightly have started noticing small search boxes (on top) for Google sites such as Gmail, Google Plus, Google news, Calendar, Finance and other (check the screenshot below), the bug is on Google side and it has been notified by Mozilla to fix, and seems as if Search engine giant has fixed the issue which you can notice with a usual expanded search bar on affected Google sites in Nightly.
