Adobe Flash Player 12 Beta adds Support for IE11 on Windows 7

Beta versions of Adobe Flash Player 12 and AIR 4 with codenamed “jones” are available to download for testing on Mac and Windows platforms. With this version Adobe has introduced new numbering scheme- following from “Jones” release for each three months the version number to be increased by 1 i.e next major release will be Flash Player 13.

Adobe Flash Player 12 and AIR 4 Beta key features

  • Adds .pkg installation support for Mac
  • Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 7 Support
  • Safe Mode in Safari 6.1 and higher
  • 64-bit Flash Player for Chrome, if interested download Chrome Canary build.
  • Graphics: Buffer Usage flag for Stage3D
  • Android Workers, a beta feature in AIR 3.9 will be officially available with AIR 4 release.
