Firefox 25 Aurora Available, What’s New Inside

Firefox 25 now is on Aurora channel and available for testing with not so new features. We’ll know more once Mozilla announces them on their future releases blog.

Firefox 25 Aurora New features and Improvements

  • Annoying Find bar which appears at the bottom across all tabs when opened, no longer shares between tabs now and from this version onwards it will appear on top, instead at bottom.

  • Browsing session won’t be cleared with Firefox Reset.
  • If you’ve not used Firefox for months, then when you launch browser import wizard appears which lets you migrate data from Chrome, Internet Explorer and Safari (who’s using Safari on Windows now?) Read: How to Import Chrome Bookmarks, Browsing History, Cookies and other data into Firefox
  • a bug where New Tab Page showing blank or missing page thumbnails has been fixed in this release.

Other changes related to developer and  HTML5 are

  • CSS3 background-attachment:local support to control background scrolling (Developer)
  • Many new ES6 functions implemented (Developer)
  • iframe document content can now be specified inline (HTML5)
