The Windows route has no hardware floor of its own. The browser you use sets the minimum.

How to install Hallow on Windows 11 and 10 with Chrome

Chrome turns hallow.com into a windowed app that opens from the taskbar, without tabs or an address bar.

1. Open Chrome and go to hallow.com/login.
2. Select Continue with Email, Google, Apple or Student Login, using the same method as on your phone.
3. Open the magic link or enter the 6-digit code Hallow emails you, so the Home tab loads.
4. Select More, the three-dot button at the top right.
5. Select Cast, save, and share, then Install page as app.
6. Keep the name Hallow and select Install, then right-click the taskbar icon and select Pin to taskbar.

Hallow recommends Chrome or Safari for the best experience in a browser.

Install Hallow on Windows with Microsoft Edge instead of the Store

Hallow publishes no Windows package, so the Microsoft Store is not the route. Edge builds the same windowed app with nothing extra to download.

1. Open Microsoft Edge and go to hallow.com/login, then sign in.
2. Select Settings and more, the three-dot button at the top right.
3. Select More tools, then Apps, then Install this site as an app.
4. Name the app Hallow and select Install.
5. Go to edge://apps and select Details on the Hallow card.
6. Select Pin to taskbar, Pin to Start or Create Desktop shortcut.

Skip any Store or download-site package that uses the Hallow name. Hallow does not publish one for Windows.

Which Hallow download do you need for your Mac?

Open the Apple menu and select About This Mac. The Chip line tells you which row applies.

The Mac App Store labels Hallow Designed for iPad, because it is the iPad app running on Apple silicon. Hold the Option key to use the trackpad as a virtual touch screen where the app expects taps.

Is Hallow free or do you need a subscription?

Start free. Hallow’s free version is permanent, and the paid subscription is optional. The free version includes hundreds of sessions, including the Daily Rosary, Daily Gospel, Examen, Divine Mercy, Daily Mass Readings, and Bible in a Year and Catechism in a Year with Fr. Mike. The Hallow Subscription unlocks the full library for $9.99 a month or $69.99 a year in the US, and the Friends & Family Annual Plan covers up to six members for $119.99 a year. Individual plans start with a free auto-renewing trial; the Friends & Family Plan has none.

Premium sessions carry a diamond or sparkle icon. Tapping one on a free account opens the subscribe screen, and you can close it with the x at the top right.

Should you use the Hallow phone app or the web app on your PC?

Use the phone app for daily routines and your journal, and the web app on your PC for listening and reading the Bible at a desk. The web app has four tabs, Home, Discover, Bible and Me, and plays sessions with background music, speed and sleep timer controls. It cannot yet create or edit routines, show your prayer streak or add a journal entry. The phone apps also download sessions for offline listening.

Both use one account, so favorites and recent sessions stay in sync.

How to sign in to the Hallow web app with your existing account

You do not need a new account for the computer. Choose the same login method you used on your phone.

1. Go to hallow.com/login.
2. Select Continue with Email, Continue with Google, Continue with Apple or Continue with Student Login.
3. Open the magic link or type the 6-digit verification code from your inbox.
4. Check that the Home screen shows four navigation icons at the top and a three-bar menu at the top right.
5. Open the three-bar menu, then Settings and Subscription to confirm your plan carried over.

Parish and school members sign in with the email or Google account their parish or school registered.

How to update the Hallow app

The web app on a PC has no version number. It loads the current Hallow every time it opens.

1. On an iPhone or iPad, open the App Store, tap your profile picture and scroll to pending updates.
2. Tap Update next to Hallow.
3. On an Apple silicon Mac, open the App Store, select Updates in the sidebar and click Update next to Hallow.
4. On Android, open Google Play, tap your profile picture, then Manage apps & device, and update Hallow.
5. On a Windows PC, keep Chrome or Edge up to date, because the web app runs inside the browser.

The App Store listed version 13.12.1, released on 21 September 2026. Google Play shows an update dated 22 September 2026.

Fix Hallow not installing or not playing

The Microsoft Store has no Hallow app

Hallow cannot currently be installed as a native app on a Windows PC.

1. Open hallow.com in Edge or Chrome.
2. Install the page as an app with the steps above.
3. Ignore .exe files from download sites that carry the Hallow name.

The Mac App Store will not install Hallow

The Mac version needs an Apple M1 chip or later and macOS 13.3 or later.

1. Open the Apple menu and select About This Mac to check the chip and macOS version.
2. Update macOS through System Settings > General > Software Update.
3. On an Intel Mac, add hallow.com to the Dock from Safari instead.

The iPhone app will not install

Hallow needs iOS 16.4 or later.

1. Open Settings > General > About to check the iOS version.
2. Update through Settings > General > Software Update.
3. On an iPhone that cannot update, sign in at hallow.com in Safari.

Your subscription does not show on the computer

The web app signed in to a different account than your phone.

1. Open the three-bar menu and select Log out.
2. Sign in again with the same email, phone number, Google or Apple account you used on your phone.
3. Contact [email protected] if the subscription is still missing.

The session text does not appear

Text is not available for every session because of copyright.

1. Select the Book icon beside the Play button.
2. Try another session to confirm the text feature works.
3. Change the font size to Small, Medium or Large if the text is hard to read.

How to uninstall Hallow and cancel the trial

Deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. Cancel first where you subscribed, at least 24 hours before the renewal date.

1. Cancel through Apple, Google Play, Amazon or Hallow.com, matching where you subscribed.
2. In Chrome, open the Hallow app window, select More, then Uninstall Hallow, and select Remove.
3. In Edge, go to edge://apps, select Details on the Hallow card, then Uninstall, and confirm.
4. On a Mac, drag Hallow from Applications to the Trash; a Safari web app sits in the Applications folder inside your home folder.
5. On an iPhone or Android phone, press and hold the Hallow icon and choose the remove or uninstall option.

After a cancelled plan ends, the account returns to the free version with its free content.
