Opera 61 adds Dark Mode support for Windows 10

Opera 61 based on Chromium 74 now entered developer channel for the first time and is available for download with Windows 10 dark mode support. While Opera continues to improve Reborn UI, it now ensures pop ups now appear dark if you’ve chosen dark theme or app mode as dark in Windows 10.

Opera 61 supports dark mode in Windows 10

For the uninitiated, Opera Reborn UI introduced with Opera 59 developer comes with light and dark themes. As Google added dark mode support to Chrome on Windows 10, Chromium-based Opera also gets it and Opera 61 in developer channel automatically adjusts to theme changes in Windows 10.

To test it right now,

1. Download and install latest Opera developer on your computer

2. On Windows 10, launch Settings > Personalization > Colors

3. Choose ‘Dark ‘ under default App mode to see Opera speed dial changing to dark in real-time (check the gif posted above).

You can see this happening to Opera menu, News, History, bookmarks manager, easy setup, extensions, downloads,  Settings and Update pages as well.

There is no Opera 59, Opera 60 stable based on Chromium 73 with Crypto Wallet built-in with Reborn UI codenamed R3, will be released this month soon, which is currently in beta at the moment.
