
Recently Microsoft announced it is rolling out a new update for its Cloud Storage App, OneDrive on Android with dark mode, enhanced search experience and “on this day” feature, It seems the update is now available to everyone on Play Store as we received the required version 6.0.1 today.
If you’re using OneDrive v6.0, head to play store and search for App and install the update, if available. To experience the dark mode for OneDrive, launch the app, tap on Me > Settings > Theme and select Dark. Recently Microsoft has brought fluent icons to Windows 10 Apps such as Mail, Calendar, Calculator, Camera, Movies & TV and more since Microsoft is using fluent design for Microsoft products across platforms, the company has changed icons in OneDrive Android app wherever possible to fluent.
“In the eternal struggle between light and dark, we’re proud to announce that this release of OneDrive finally brings balance to the force: you can enjoy Dark theme and an epic set of Microsoft fluent icons throughout the app”.
To relive old memories, the OneDrive app on Photos tab shows “on this day ” notification to personal users. “Photo enthusiasts that sign in with a consumer Microsoft account can now enjoy memories of years past: just visit your photos tab to relive photos taken in previous years on this same day” the changelog reads.
