
Though Internet Explorer Mode in new Microsoft Edge is aimed at businesses, we’ve covered you can enable it and visit websites in Chromium Edge in Internet Explorer by selecting the option available in More tools menu. New Edge browser from within settings allows to clear browsing data of Internet Explorer and Internet Explorer mode.
For the uninitiated, IE Mode is a new feature introduced for enterprises in the chromium-based Edge browser to visit legacy websites and apps in Internet Explorer while for modern sites, the browser uses new Micorosft Edge based on blink engine. IT admins can configure a list of sites to open in IE mode.
Tip: To turn on Internet Explorer mode in new Edge browser, visit edge://flags and choose “IE mode” for the “Enable IE Integration” flag and restart the browser and you further need to run Edge with a command-line flag, check all the details here.
After enabling the feature, as you can clear Edge browsing data from settings, Microsoft also allows deleting browsing data for Internet Explorer and Internet Explorer mode in the new Edge browser when you turn on “Enable Delete Browsing History Support for IE integration” flag in edge://flags page.

After activating the experimental feature if you launch Edge and navigate to the Settings page, you’ll notice new “Clear browsing data for Internet Explorer” section with “Clear browsing data now ” and “Clear chosen data for Internet Explorer and Internet Explorer mode every time you exit Microsoft Edge” settings.
Clicking on former opens Internet Explorer Delete Browsing History dialog where you can select the options and delete the IE and IE mode’s browsing data, this includes history, passwords, cookies and more.
You can also able to automate the above process by activating second setting.
