Chromium Edge: Share button, New Tab Page gets Dark Mode Support

Recently there is a buzz about the favorite button and password reveal button in Edge preview builds, so far they have not reached all Edge insiders, at least not the edge flags page even. Now, reportedly Microsoft is testing Share button and dark theme for New Tab Page, these also available for a limited number of insiders at the moment.

Seems Microsoft is in a hurry to add more features to Chromium-based Edge browser, the Edge team is keep rolling out new features broadly and making some available to few users only for testing as part of Controlled Featured Rollouts.

Remember Classic Edge offers Share button to share a web page to contacts or the apps you’ve installed in Windows 10, Microsoft is now bringing that to Chromium Edge to share web content easier.

Here, in case of new Microsoft Edge Share button being offered in Ellipsis menu instead of on the toolbar. To share a web page, all you need to do visit that page and click on the Ellipsis icon and select Share button and choose the app through which you want to share.

Edge Chromium already supports dark mode and offers theme options in its settings to switch between light, dark and system theme. Edge internal pages such as History and Settings already support dark mode, now New Tab Page has joined the list.
