Iobit Uninstaller never fails to impress us, with every version it gets better and brings new features that make uninstallation of software easier. When we reviewed IObit uninstaller version 8 last time we failed to notice “Easy Uninstall” feature which is nothing but hunter mode present in Revo Uninstaller, but the feature will be quite useful when you can’t find the application you’re looking to uninstall in Control Panel.
For the unknown, Revo Uninstaller free version features hunter mode, which allows getting rid of any program by pointing blue target icon to program window or desktop shortcut or taskbar icon, you’ll then be displayed a context menu with options to Uninstall, kill and delete an application process.
Now coming back to IObit Uninstaller, version 8 brings Easy Uninstall with Yellow target window icon to remind us it is similar to Revo Uninstaller’s unique feature, here is how you can use it.
1. Download and install IObit Uninstaller (portable version also available) and launch it
2. Click on Toolbox icon top right of the window and select “Easy Uninstall”
IObit provided a shortcut to this: Ctrl+At+U.
3. Drag it to shortcut icon on the desktop or opened window or system tray icon of the app, right click menu appears with these options: Uninstall, Delete Shortcut, Open File Location, and Cancel.
4. Choose the Uninstall option, follow the onscreen steps in the wizard to complete the uninstall process. To come out of Easy Uninstall mode, right click on Yellow target window and choose Exit, done.
