
Today, Mozilla announced new brand marks for Firefox Lockwise and Firefox Monitor. You can check out their logos or icons below. From now on, Mozilla going to use these logos and brand names on its websites, services, and apps and on support forums.
The company says they have used Lockbox name during the development of Password manager, now they’re assigning the new brand name “Firefox Lockwise”. The organization says Lockwise’s Profile and lock icon suggests users can easily store passwords and it can protect your data. Firefox Monitor which lets you check if your email address is part of a data breach and offers future alerts, represented by a magnifying glass icon.
Firefox Lockwise desktop addon
We’ve recently reported Firefox Lockwise password manager UI can be enabled in Firefox Nightly, now Mozilla has readied preview version of their Password Manager in the form of the extension, eventually, the company is going to built feature into Firefox browser. The add-on can be installed from Lockwise website.
Now after installing the addon, if you want to you sync your logins to Firefox on iOS and Android devices, you should sign into Firefox with Firefox Account and ensure login is checked in Sync Settings. You can read more information on how to use Lockwise after installing it at the faq page.
Do note the addon currently does not work if Master Password is enabled in Firefox browser, to make it work, you need to disable Master password before installing the addon.
