Outlook.com: How to delete duplicate contacts?

Things have changed a lot since we’ve written how to clean up duplicate contacts from Hotmail account, Microsoft has upgraded all Hotmail accounts to Outlook.com. If you’re using Outlook on the web, here is how remove duplicate contacts that have piled up over after importing from other popular email services.

Deleting duplicate contacts on outlook.com

1. Sign into Outlook website with Microsoft account credentials, including email accounts that end with @outlook.com, @hotmail.com, @live.com or @msn.com.

2. Click on the app launcher icon and select People or visit people.live.com page in the browser.

3. If you don’t have enough contacts, start importing them from other email services such as Gmail and Yahoo, by clicking ‘Start import’ button.

4. You can skip the third step if you’ve already imported contacts or if you’re not willing to, check All button the left and click on Manage and select Clean up Contacts.
