
The first beta of IObit Uninstaller’s next major version is here with Edge support. IObit Uninstaller 6 beta has added support for removing the Extensions and Plugins of Microsoft Edge browser. Do remember! Currently Extensions for Edge are available for testing to insiders only, with Anniversary Update launch planned in August 2, extensions will be available to public for download and install from the Windows Store.

This version lacks batch uninstall option, with support of larger database can remove more malicious and ad-based plugins.

To see and remove installed Edge Extensions or plugins, open IObit Uninstaller, click on Toolbars & Plugins and select Microsoft Edge.
Tools available next to Hamburger icon, offers Force Uninstall, Cleanup Residual, Uninstall History, Startup and File Shredder.
UninstallMonitor.exe process, which invokes upon the detection of other uninstaller’s uninstall operation and prompts the user to perform powerful scan, has the setting checked-in by default in this version: ‘Notify me to start powerful scan when other uninstaller’s uninstall operation detected’ – let us see if this version honors that setting and hope doesn’t make the process to re-appear when we disable that.
