Classic Shell update adds Windows 10 Redstone Support

Microsoft to launch Windows 10 Redstone or the Anniversary Update to the public in summer, currently already available to insiders. Good news to those of you, who’ve not liked the Windows 10 start menu and installed Classic Shell to get Windows 7 style: the latest beta version 4.2.7 released by the developer for Classic Shell has added support for Redstone. Apart from this, the new beta version has added a new feature for setting the taskbar color, texture and text color. You can find the other new features and changes below.

  • Menu animations for the Windows 7 style
  • New metalic skin
  • Yoolbar button to create a zip archive
  • Ability to change the font  and size of the status bar in explorer
