Make Spartan as default browser in Windows 10

With the build 10049, Microsoft has introduced ‘Project Spartan’ browser for Windows Insiders in Windows 10, it is still in development and buggy, though it is too early to use it for daily needs, however if you want you can set it as a default browser in Microsoft’s new operating system, here is how.

Open the new settings app, click on ‘System’, select ‘Defaults’, under ‘Choose default apps’, for Web Browser, select the default browser, – it could be IE or or the one set by you manually- on the left under ‘Choose an App’, select ‘Project Spartan’ (check the screenshot below).
