‘Google Chrome is out of date because it hasn’t been relaunched in a while’

This is quite a new way of notifying about the update: if you haven’t restarted the Chrome browser for a while, it’s menu icon turns to green, which on clicking shows ‘Update Google Chrome’ message on the menu, when you click on it, a new notification appears and says,’ Google Chrome is out of date because it hasn’t been relaunched in a while. An update is available and will be applied as soon as you relaunch’.

Chrome notification dialog asks to relaunch browser to install the update

When you click on ‘Relaunch’ button in the notification, the browser will restart and update will be installed. If you click ‘Not Now ‘, the browser stays open, no changes will be made to Chrome, but you might get this notification again next time.

Have you got this notification in the past? Let us know in the comments.
