Chrome Dev Update Restores Minimize, Maximize and Close Window buttons

Last updated on November 14, 2014 By Venkat

Google fixes Chrome’s missing minimize, maximize and Close buttons issue. Since a few days, Chrome dev channel has stopped showing window controls- minimize, maximize and close buttons-, this somehow was related to the theme you’re using on Windows and in the Chrome browser, for instance, using the Aero theme in place of Windows default brought back the buttons for some and resetting Chrome theme to default resolved for some.

The issue has been reported 5 days ago and today, it has been fixed with a new release 40.0.2214.6. So if you’re facing the issue with the Windows dev channel, click on Chrome Menu and select ‘About Google Chrome’, the update will be downloaded and installed after the relaunch of the browser.
