Good
Redesigned user Interface is simple and easy to navigate.
After install, when you perform Quick scan, it recommends to perform pre-scan for frequently unwanted programs.
SuperAntiSpyware Portable will detect and remove over 1,000,000 Spyware/Malware infections
System Investigator shows so much information about files on your computer will be useful for advanced users and technicians, but not for common people.
Cons: SuperAntiSpyware hangs while running System Investigator.
The new UI and Investigator doesn’t please free version users as it lacks real-time protection, schedule scanning and Automatic updates. Whenever you want to scan your system for viruses that other anti-spyware misses, you can give it a try.
Best free anti-malware IMO is Malwarebytes, what do you say about this new version?
last week i had a problem which spooked me out. i needed to verify my new c.c. & my bank account for skype & paypal. i couldn’t do it & there was no feedback. naturally my bank’s tech support was useless. i’ve discovered that my malware protection program superantispyware 6.0.1158 was blocking it, but no feed back. i just need turn it off if i run into this problem. i also scratch my head. i could not whitelist, it was not an option.
Which version you’re using? Free version doesn’t offer real-time and web protection, don’t know much about Pro or paid version, but a quick search told me SuperAntiSpyware cannot block access to a website and it does not block or filter web content. It could be an add-on in browser, or another application that could be doing this, you may need to investigate and find the reasons for that.
