Agomo currently in Private Beta (update:now out of beta and available as CCleaner Cloud) is a product offered by Piriform. It lets you manage PCs remotely from browser by offering CCleaner, Defraggler technologies in the cloud. To get started create an account, install their client -currently available for Windows and soon will be available for Mac too- on your PC or multiple ones and manage them from Agomo website.
Hands on CCleaner Cloud
Once you sign into service click on your computer name, it displays detailed information about your computer in Summary, Hardware, Software, CCleaner, Defraggler, and Events tabs. You shouldn’t be surprised Agomo to display such in-depth information as Piriform already offers PC profiling tool like Speccy.
‘Processes’ in ‘Software’ tab displays all processes currently running by showing their CPU and memory usage, this may be little different from what your Task Manger is actually showing. You can right click on a process and terminate. ‘Startup’ displays all Windows startup entries, and allows you to manage them.
‘Installed Software’ shows all applications installed in your computer and allows to uninstall anyone. Some applications can be uninstalled silently too.
At present, you can install MSI Installer having applications from Dropbox, yes first you need to upload that software to your Dropbox folder to install from in Agomo.
CCleaner that has been downloaded over 1 billion times needs no introduction, you can notice same interface of it in Agomo too. But Piriform says Agomo cleans more things than CCleaner, for instance it can clean user profile in your computer.
Whatever changes happened in your computer after installing Agomo client will be shown in ‘Events’ from your login to Software installs and to Shutdown. You’ll also get email alerts for software install, low disk space warning and when Agomo agent’s installation/upgrade takes place, you can control or change them in ‘Preferences’ in ‘Options’.
This service lets you pre-schedule cleaning or defragging for a PC at specified time. Agomo Client offers ‘Read-only Mode’ and ‘Privacy Mode’ in its Preferences (you can open from its tray icon). Read-Only Mode prevents agomo from performing optimization or cleaning tasks in your computer, this mode allows monitoring only.
