Adobe Reader 11.0.1 has been released for Windows and Mac and is available for download from Adobe website and via program update if configured accordingly by the user. FYI, Adobe is following Microsoft’s Patch Tuesday of releasing fixes for their products on Tuesday and this update is more of secure update without new features which has fixed the vulnerabilities in Adobe Reader XI that could crash and allow the attacker take control of your system
Adobe offers silent updates for Adobe Reader XI too
Automating updates in the background for Flash and their Reader products is the best thing Adobe had done recently.
If you’ve set Adobe to install updates automatically after the first install, then the update was already installed on your Computer and you’ll be notified about that from the system tray also. You can manually check for updates from Help menu of program.
On the other hand let me inform you that other updates for 10.1.5 for Adobe Reader X and 9.5.3 for Adobe Reader have been released.
