Microsoft has acknowledged this issue on June 11, 2019, and today updated status from “investigating” to “mitigated”. The company now provides a workaround KB4508640 for this issue and promises estimate solution will be available in late June. The workaround involves running the function from here on Windows PowerShell.

To view custom views, the user needs to copy and paste the function mentioned above each time in a new PowerShell Window. Do note the get-Eventviewer function allows you view previously defined custom views only.
