Piriform Launches Public beta for CCleaner

The folks over at Piriform, for the first time, launched a beta program for CCleaner and the beta for the next CCleaner version 5.47 is now available to download for testing and feedback purposes. FYI, from now onwards, new CCleaner beta releases will be announced in the Piriform forum and the user can able to download by clicking the link in the announcement post.

” You have been telling us for some time now that you want to get bug fixes without having to wait a month between the releases. In response, we’ve started up a new beta programme” Ben Piriform said in a thread.

Note: The CCleaner beta program announcement was made on this Monday, September 10, 2018, so until now nobody knows or written about it, glad to say we’re the first to discover and report the news.

Advantages

  • Apart from bug fixes, new features will be included for testing, so early testers or advanced users can rejoice.
  • Comes with latest cleaning definitions
  • No installer offers like Avast or Google Chrome. Hey, are you saying or tipping us we need to be using your beta instead of CCleaner regualr version to avoid the unwanted crap from you? Seems CCleaner beta is the slim build, OMG, Yes! We can confirm from this.

  • You’ll be notified when non-beta or release version is available, ensure ‘inform me of updates to CCleaner’ is checked in Options > Settings for that.

Disadvantages

  • Its beta, though it comes with bug fixes, the version itself may contain bugs, so not recommended for regular use in a working environment.
