Configure Free Download Manager to shut down computer when a download is completed

Like Internet Download Manager, Free Download Manager also allows to shut down the computer when the downloads are completed. This will be useful for large file downloads such as ISO images. Let us see how to configure Free Download Manager for this.

Set Free Download Manager to shut down the computer when a download is completed

1. Ensure you’re using the latest FDM version 5.1.17 or later, open Free Download Manager main window

2. Click on menu, select Settings > General > Advanced, for ‘After downloads are completed, computer will‘, select Shut down setting.

3. Now, whenever you want to turn off system automatically after a download is completed, click on Menu and select ‘Auto Hibernate/Sleep/Shutdown‘

    Not sure if they took this feature not in 5.1.18 or what, but it definitely is not there for me.

      As showed in the screenshot, its there in the latest version, please ensure you’re using the same.

      Click the three stripes button besides the search bar. Auto shutdown is hidden there now
