Google has added the first set of Chrome Actions to Chrome with version 87. Chrome 92 received the second batch of Actions and you can now run them from the address bar. It is now possible to open an incognito window or run Chrome Safety Scan from the Omnibox.
Chrome Actions
- Chrome Actions are simple commands you can run from the Chrome address bar without the need to navigate to the respective setting page.
- Chrome performs the task on behalf of the user.
- It’s a fast and easy way to get things done in the Chrome browser.
- For instance, if you want to clear browsing data in Chrome, you can press ctrl+Shift+Delr or type “clear cache” and select the button highlighted in the address bar. Chrome brings up the dialog for you.
