Today, Opera Software has launched new Opera browser for PC and Opera Touch for mobile with Instant Search and Flow features. Latest Opera Stable has instant search feature, which opens search box on top of web site when you press Alt+ Space and allows to search the web and find the tabs open quickly without leaving the tab you’re on.
Opera’s Instant Search feature explained
You can find the Instant Search and Flow icons in the sidebar. As said above, Instant Search in Opera browser can be opened by using ALT + Space or by clicking the magnifying glass icon in the sidebar. You can use Tab key or Ctrl+ Space to switch between web and Tab search modes.
Opera team’s reason for Instant Search addition to desktop browser is this: To perform search, you need to open a new tab or stop current work and return to address bar, this causes distraction. The Instant Search fixes this problem by opening a search box on top of web site and dims the page, after finding what you’ve searched for, you can close instant search and resume with website you’re on.
Tip: To close Instant Search, click anywhere in the page except the Search box.
