After installing FDM on your computer, to integrate into Edge,
1. Launch Free Download Manager,
2. Click on three horizontal lines icon and choose ‘Settings’
3. Select ‘Browser Integration’ and check ‘Edge’,
After that when you open Task Manager, you can notice ‘Free Download Manager Edge Integration Module’ running in the Processes tab, which means FDM has been integrated into Edge browser and you can able to download files in Microsoft browser by using the free download manager.

Note: This process Free Download Manager Edge Integration Module with the file name winwfpmonitor.exe, that runs from C:\Program Files\FreeDownloadManager.ORG\Free Download Manager, should not be interrupted or never be disabled.
The Scheduled task ‘Free Download Manager Network Monitor’ runs at startup triggers the Free Download Manager Edge Integration Module to run after loading Windows. If you disable this scheduled task, you’ll not able to download files in Edge browser by using FDM.
Well I can see programs running in task manager alright but FDM simply does NOT intercept the downloads!
Check all these and reply back
Ensure
1. You’re using latest version of FDM.
2. Edge is checked in Browser integration https://techdows.com/2016/07/free-download-manager-5-1-final-with-windows-10-mac-and-edge-support.html
3. FreeDownload Manager Network Monitor is running under Scheduled tasks https://techdows.com/2016/09/disable-winwfpmonitor-exe.html
If the all above have been verified, try to uninstall and reinstall FDM to see the issue is solved.
after contacting fdm support they say they know there’s a problem and are working to fix it. it’s not an end user problem.
What about Edge-Canary or Edge-Dev? Does this work there too?
