Which Avast components you should install for Minimal Protection?

Users feel Avast is currently bloated with unnecessary features such as Software Updater, Browser Cleanup and SafeZone Browser, then how to install Avast with basic protection features without bloatware? We’ve got you covered and the latest version of Avast antivirus also offers the “Minimal Protection’ option for that during the install.

How to Install avast with Minimal or basic protection without bloatware

1. To get started, Download Avast and double click the file begin the installation

2. Click ‘Customize’ in the Setup dialog window

3. Here under ‘which components do you want to install?’, choose Minimal protection — you can also choose ‘custom protection’ and install necessary components you wish—  this installation mode installs File Shield, Web Shield and Behavior Shield on your computer.

If you miss the browser protection, which also installs Avast SafePrice extension, select ‘Security browser extension’ and click ‘Install’ to proceed with Avast installation.
