Finally, Internet Download Manager added support for Pale Moon 28. The latest version 6.33 build 3 brought the much-needed support for Pale Moon browser in which Web Extensions doesn’t work.
Internet Download Manager’s add-on for Firefox worked for Pale Moon browser till Firefox supported XUL technology for extensions, once Mozilla switched to Web Extensions, IDM updated their code to support Firefox, meanwhile, Moonchild productions hasn’t moved to WebExtensions. Tonec has to prepare a separate IDM integration extension that works in latest Pale Moon browser and it is now available and working with IDM 6.33 build 3.

Integreat IDM into Pale Moon browser
1. If you’ve already installed Pale Moon and IDM applications, launch IDM by clicking on its icon in the system tray
2. Click Downloads > Options, click “Add browser”
3. Click OK, browse to “C:Program Files Pale Moon”
4. Select Pale Moon executable and click ‘Open’, Pale Moon will be integrated into Internet Download Manager and you can see it in the supported browsers list in General tab (check the below Screenshot).

Install IDM Integration Extension in Pale Moon 28
1. Launch Pale Moon browser.
2. Visit this link which contains the idmmzcc-palemoon.xpifile in the address bar,
3. Click Install in the “software installation” dialog displayed.
3. Try to download a file in Pale Moon, it will be now taken over by Internet Download Manager.
Note: Like IDMGCExt.crx file, xpi for Pale moon browser isn’t available in IDM installation directory.
