If you’ve captured photos from your Camera and saved to your Computer, you should know that each JPEG image will contain details like model of the camera that has been used for photos, date taken, GPS location data and other information you need to remove this metadata before sharing on any social networking sites. And also deleting this info lets you regain some hard drive space on your Computer and those cleaned files will load much faster than before. AutoJpegTrunk is is freeware portable app that removes the so called metadata.
Using AutoJpegTrunk
Download the program zip file, extract its contents to a folder and run the executable JpegTrunk.exe. From the program interface you can select the path of folder containing JPEG images by clicking Specify path, once you done that click “Process” button and AutoJPEGTrunk displays list of all JPEG files and removes metadata.
You can know the size of JPEGs before and after processing and space you gained in won field. You must make sure the exiftool must be in the same folder as that of JpegTrunk.
AutoJpegTrunk works on Windows XP/Vista/7.
