Microsoft Edge’s Profile error on Startup

Coming to the article, to fix the performance issue caused by DNS over HTTPS configuration, the Edge team quietly disabled alternate DNS providers such as Google DNS, Cloudflare, and Quad9.

While that change went unnoticed, some users running Edge 90 Canary, and dev hit with an issue related to profile. This may happen when Edge is checking for updates or if you’re performing a manual check for the same.

Though the reason for the error is unknown, as of today, the issue has been fixed in Canary and in Dev also according to user reports.
