Files an folders in Downloads directory are now grouped and displayed by date modified wise in descending order in Windows 10 version 1903, Microsoft made this change as default in the new Windows version.
After installing Windows 10 May 2019 Update version 1903, if you open and see “Downloads folder” (with some files already downloaded before), you’ll notice files within folders are grouped and shown by “Today”, “Yesterday”, “Last Week” and “Last Month”.

While this new change auto organizes downloaded files and gives you a clear idea on which day you’ve downloaded particular files, but this may also annoy you, here is how you can disable and restore previous display view for Downloads folder in Windows 10 May 2019 Update.
For that
1. Click on File Explorer icon on the taskbar
2. Double click on Downloads folder to open
3. Click on View in Explorer ribbon > Group by > (None)
or right click > Group by > (None).

You don’t know the solution is this easy until you know it. If you don’t know, files/folders grouping is available from Windows Vista, MS made this change new default in new feature update shipped this May to Downloads folder only, but not for 3D Objects, Desktop, Documents, Music, Pictures and Videos.
