New Microsoft Edge shows Windows Spotlight Lock Screen Pictures on New Tab Page

If you use Windows 10 you might already know Windows Spotlight that shows new images from Microsoft every day on the lock screen when you sign in, Microsoft is now using the same feature on its Edge Chromium New Tab Page to show new pictures, provided you’ve “Image of the day ” option enabled in New Tab Settings.

Windows Spotlight is one of the options available for lock Screen background image in Windows 10. You can enable Spotlight by visiting settings > Personalization > Lock Screen where you need to select Windows Spotlight under Background, here, a preview of the new lock screen image will be shown. Now lock your PC by using Winkey +L to see Spotlight image on the lock screen.

If you don’t like the current picture, you can tell Microsoft about it by saying  “Not a fan”, immediately a new one will be served. Over the coming days, based on your interests Microsoft shows a different image daily on your lock screen. Now Windows 10 by default shows a lock screen image on the sign-in screen. Windows 10 lock screen is a place where you not only see beautiful images, ads as well and Bing Watermark images from Microsoft even if you’ve fun facts option unchecked in the lock screen Settings page.

If you now install new Microsoft Edge in Windows 10,  it will replace Classic Edge and pulls lock screen images and shows them on Edge New Tab, ensure New Tab Page layout isn’t set to Focus or Image of the day is enabled in lock screen settings to see this as Information and Inspiration designs always show a Bing image by default.
