This could be new and we’ve never seen Bing watermark on Windows 10 lock screen before, a user on Reddit reported that his lock screen has Bing branding and a tweet from another also confirms it’s not happening to a single person. Is Microsoft pushing Bing watermarked images on the lock screen to users in Windows 10 who have Windows spotlight enabled? This should be answered by MSFT.
As Bing does allow to download and use the image it shows on its homepage for wallpaper purposes and since you can set lock screen with a custom image, if you use Bing image here, the watermark will show up. That can be done manually, but Windows 10 showing Bing logo for lock screen images considering reported picture is using Spotlight feature, as per our knowledge, the company has not done this before with Windows 10.
Is the @Bing watermark on the Windows 10 lock screen backgrounds a new thing? I’ve not noticed it before. It’s unfortunate as it detracts from some otherwise beautiful backgrounds… might have to switch to my own backgrounds again :-/

You can check if this is happening to you. For that, lock your Windows 10 system by pressing Win key+L shortcut and observe lock screen, and also verify if you’ve enabled Windows Spotlight by going to Settings > Personalization > Lock Screen, Back Ground> Windows Spotlight.
It’s absolutely fair for Microsoft to show Bing logo on the lock screen for spotlight images that are fetched from Bing servers, but the company has not done this before in the first place, seems they may be doing now. What do you say on this?
