Hide Contacts and Tasks links Permanently in Gmail

Lot of users not liked the new Gmail layout and Gmail also not allows to permanently hide Contacts and Tasks links under Mail link, actually its a bug that’s been fixed.So now if you click minimize button next to Mail, Contacts and Tasks will be hidden permanently and they will not appear again until once you click expand Mail.
