Microsoft Offers Bootable ISO Image to Uninstall KB2823324 Update

Microsoft now offering bootable ISO as Repair Disk to uninstall KB2823324 security update on Windows 7 systems. Recently offered KB2823324 update via automatic updates put lot of users systems in trouble as they faced issues like unable to restart their computers or load applications or encountered a 0*c000021a stop error or received an Event ID 55. Microsoft asked all affected users to uninstall that update and provided detailed instructions in removing it their Knowledge base article 2839011.

If you’ve followed all solutions in that and still have restart problems with the applied KB2823324 update you can now download and burn bootable ISO image made available by Microsoft on Download Center to uninstall that update.

There are some known issues for using this bootable image ISO as well, they’re : burned ISO image will run on windows 7 32-bit installation only and if Bitlocker is enabled it won’t work. You can download this ISO image from here.
