Windows 10 Creators Update: How to Install Themes (from Store) and Uninstall

Microsoft is offering themes for Windows 10 Creators Update installed users on Windows Store. You need to visit the Store to install them. You can able to browse from more than hundred of themes and get the liked ones.

Each theme has its own page that provides description, screenshots and needed system requirements -you need to be using Windows 10 version 14951.0 or higher (As you know Creators Update has build number 15063.13). The themes installed from Store will be available for launch on your PC (and in Store)in Themes sections of Personalization.

Installing themes from Windows Store in Windows 10 Creators Update

1. Click on the Start menu and select Settings > Themes, click on ‘Get more themes in the store’

2. Once the Windows Store opens

3. Browse through the themes available, select one and click ‘Get’ button for the theme to downloaded and installed by the Store.

Now click on the Themes Settings window on taskbar and double click on the installed theme to activate.

This way, you can install multiple themes on Windows.

You can delete each theme later if you don’t like or found unnecessary.

Uninstalling or deleting themes

Select a theme you’ve installed earlier from Windows Store in Themes section, right click and select ‘Delete’.

Do note you can not delete default themes Windows 10 comes with.
