Back in December, Yahoo has added Personalized news feed for Yahoo Mail users on the desktop, with this, they want their users to read news without leaving the Ymail. The notification number with bouncing icon turned out to be an annoying distraction for the users, disliked users reported to yahoo to turn off the notification thing, some even asked to remove news feed also.
Yahoo Mail news feed notifications are now disabled
Yahoo has listened to the feedback and today announced that they’ve turned off additional notifications on the Yahoo Mail News Feed.

Here is what Yahoo Mail community support manager said : “Great news everybody! The additional notifications on the Yahoo Mail News Feed are turned off. We really appreciate your feedback!”.
